Virtual Diplomacy: India and Indonesia are celebrating 75 years of ties with a historic esports showdown

Skyesports, a part of JetSynthesys leading esports tournament organizer in  South Asia renowned for hosting major tournaments stretched over multiple gaming titles intending to elevate esports from the grassroots level and bring esports gaming to every corner of the India and world has announced the collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy of New Delhi for an esports exhibition match at the 6th India Gaming Show as  India and Indonesia commemorate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relationship in 2024.

This Landmark event, a collaborative effort between Skyesport and the Indonesian Embassy of New Delhi, will feature top teams from both nations competing in the adrenaline-pumping game of Counter-Strike 2, a multiplayer tactical first-person shooting game. It’s not just a game; It’s an intercultural bridge, demonstrating the power of esports in connecting countries. The India Gaming Show, a premier destination for gaming and animation enthusiasts, will host this exciting event with a significant prize pool and international participants This historic showdown event will take place in Pune.

The India Gaming Show, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), promises this to be a hot show of gaming, animation, and infotainment, attracting enthusiasts across the global Esports sector will be entertained as teams from India and Indonesia, Australia, and Europe entries win tournament titles, surprise and compete for a portion of the $50,000 prize pool

In recent times Esports have gained massive recognition in India and as per the State of Indian Gaming Report 2022, the Esports industry in India will attain new heights of success and profitability in the coming years. This segment which was worth $40 million in 2022 will reach a market cap of $140 million by 2027. This is not only the case in India but all over the world Esports is the next big thing in the sports industry. According to Neko Partners’ Asia Game Report Indonesia has over 180 million gamers whereas India impressively claims to have 421 million gamers aged between 16 to 64. Seeing these stats is not wrong to say that both the countries people are heavily interested in the domain of esports and an event like this is the best way to showcase the relationship between both countries.

This collaborative initiative between Skyesports and The Indonesia Embassy in New  Delhi not only celebrates the long-lasting diplomatic ties between both India and Indonesia but also showcases the potential of esports as a platform for cultural exchange and international cooperation, This esports encounter vividly illustrates how gaming transcends geographical boundaries, uniting people through the universal language of digital competition. Apart from this encounter, the tournament will witness four elite teams, one from India, one from Australia, and two from Europe will battle against each other for the Title of the champion and a share of the $50,000 prize pool.
