PGL, an esports tournament organizer based in Romania, and Perfect World, a Chinese game publisher and tournament operator, have joined forces in a strategic partnership spanning the esports seasons from 2024 to 2026. This collaboration will primarily focus on organizing Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) events, along with exploring various co-branding opportunities. Perfect World, as the Chinese distributor of Valve’s esports titles, including Counter-Strike and Dota 2, holds significant expertise in hosting esports competitions in China. Meanwhile, PGL, known for its expertise in organizing major CS2 and Dota 2 tournaments, will continue its efforts, including hosting the upcoming PGL Major Copenhagen. Under this partnership, PGL will produce all Perfect World events globally, excluding China, while Perfect World will handle all PGL events in China. This collaboration aims to enhance the reach and impact of esports events, leveraging PGL’s global reach and Perfect World’s strong presence in China’s esports scene. Additionally, the companies plan to explore co-branded collaborations to engage with the gaming community further, with details yet to be revealed.
